Semester Final: Self Portrait

This is the final project we did this semester. This took almost all of 2nd quarter because it's very large, about 5 1/2' x 3'. To attack this monster of a portrait, I had a classmate take my picture first and then I edited it on photoshop. This is where I created the splotches and colors. Then with the help of Mrs. Phegley, I projected the picture onto the canvas and traced the lines, almost every little curve and crease. Then I got to work painting the huge picture. We used acrylic paints for this project. It was very frustrating but I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I like the colors a lot and I'm glad to say it actually looks like me.
