Semester Final: Improvements and The Future

I feel like I have improved a lot this year, like I talked about in the previous blog. My self -portraits look a lot more like me than some that I have done in earlier years. I also think I've become more creative with my work. This class has allowed me to do that, too, because we are able to go off on our own and think for ourselves, rather than follow specific guidelines. I've taken risks, too, with my giant self-portrait. I would like to expand and take more risks as the year continues. I hope to create something that's impressive even to myself, because I already know what I CAN do. I'm learning to challenge myself so that I can make something extraordinary.
This year has also opened my eyes to possibilities for the future. Art is something that I would always like to be a part of my life. I've thought about being a teacher, so maybe being an art teacher is a path I'd go down in the future. I've also really become interested in photography, because my step mom is a photographer and seeing her work is really cool and inspiring. With photoshop you can use so much creativity, and I've learned that through the few times I've used it in class as well as at home. If I don't pursue a career in art, I still want to make use of my creativity and possibly become a drama director. That's another field of the arts that I really enjoy. I probably always continue drawing, though, because I absolutely love it. It's also a good stress reliever.
I can't wait to start up the next semester and go beyond what I normally do with my art pieces.
