2nd Semester Portfolio

This semester we are able to work on our own and create a portfolio of the artwork we create. Sounds like a simple assignment, but there's a catch: we have to come up with a theme that all of our pieces should follow. It can be a style theme, color theme, medium theme, etc. Ugh. So after a long night of brainstorming I finally came up with something that I think will work out quite well. I'm going to do sort of a narrative theme, where all of the pieces represent some aspect of my life. I already have a few ideas, but it might change as I go on. I plan on using several different types of media, and maybe even some photography for a few of the projects. My work will reflect a certain event that either defines me or is something that I enjoyed the most. I may also include family or friend-related things. Here's a few ideas of what I will be drawing, painting, photoshopping, etc. :

New York City/Broadway
Me and My friends (this is the one I'm thinking about doing on photoshop)
Family
Tennis
Music/Singing

I have other ideas for art projects that don't necessarily fall under this theme, so I might do them in my free time at home or in class (painting shoes). Each of these should take anywhere between one and a half to two weeks, depending on what type of medium I use and how big it is. Obviously if I plan to go big on at least one of them it will take a little more time.
