Speaking of frustrating...

I talked about how frustrating the snowflake ornaments were in my previous blog, and it just goes to show that not everything comes easy to you. I'm fairly good at art, so I really enjoy it. But when there's a project that I'm not familiar with, I get really frustrated. That's what we all do. When something is out of our comfort zone, we tend to just give up and call it quits. For instance, I tried making a pinch pot with the art I students last week. I'm horrible at sculpting, so since it wasn't a project I HAD to do, I just gave up. I really want to work on that. So next time something that's a little more trying than what I'm normally used to, I'm not going to give up right away. I'm going to try to work at it until I master it, whether it be in art or at work or even at home with my family.
