Indy Home Show
I had a really good time at the home show last Friday in Indianapolis. There was a lot to see, but I especially liked the center display of the house. They had an actual house in the very first building that was completely furnished inside and out. I really enjoyed looking at the design of the room and the architecture of the home. My favorite part of it was the outdoor landscaping. It had a patio in the back with a fireplace, and a walkway that led to a giant pond that could actually be used as a swimming pool. It was really neat. Another plus about the field trip was the Ty Pennington look-a-like. They had a contest, which we missed, but we actually did get to talk to one of the Ty look-a-likes. It was so funny, he sounded just like him. There were some other displays of a few rooms that some college students designed, and one the was "Ty-Inspired." Looking at them got me thinking about what I'd like to do when I graduate, and I wouldn't mind being an interior designer. I think I would have fun with it, because it uses a lot of creativity and artistic ability, which I'd like to think I have. =]
